We are so happy to have Paul share his popular work with us..a few words……
This is one of the images from my experimentation of using color
infrared film in a Holga camera. This film is no longer manufactured by
Kodak, but I was able to acquire some from a guy in Germany who cuts the
film down to 120 rolls. The film’s original purpose by Kodak was to be
used in airplanes to photograph foliage densities. You have to use a
yellow, orange, or red filter on your Holga when shooting this film.
Because I knew the film would yield “trippy” results, I decided on a
“Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” theme, photographing scenes base on
lines from the lyrics of the classic Beatles song. I was very happy
with the results. This specific photo is currently the most popular
photo on the lomography.com site.
