About the holga, I started photography back in 2007, and the holga around a year after. I really enjoy Holga for two reasons, first it’s really light so you can carry it anywhere, and secondly, I like the depth of film photography, the aspect of grain, and the whole artistic aspect of this medium.
My name is Sandra Stoiber and i am from Germany, but live in Switzerland. I am a Holga-Newbie (bought my first camera last year) and totally fascinated of this plastic miracle, which transports so much feelings and produces great authentic photos in a imperfect way.
This Photo shows the end of a long building process (Menorca/Beach Son Bou) of my son and my husband 😉
PS: my english is pretty bad and you can write my sentences in your style, thanks!
“PPSS…I wouldn’t think of changing a thing Sandra!”
My name is Andrew Phillips, but you will find me online going by the handle GreenStPhotography. I have been toying with Holga’s since about 2004ish. I roll with modified Holga’s from the man himself, Randy over at Holgamods.com. I also toy with vinatge Dianas and the occasional Ansco Pix Pano. I don’t limit myslef to just toys though, I have quite the collection of film cameras and of course digital that all clamor for my attention. So many cameras, so little time…
I was also Team Lead on the book “TOYCAM – Lo-Fi Photography” published by a group of volunteers that met up over on toycamera.com. It was a year long project that the whole team is very proud of, I highly encourage you to check out the book. The entire book can be viewed online and of course you can purchase the book here (please note that the book is being offered at cost so no one is making a profit on this, it really was a labor of love): http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/1595250/
